A fantastic classic Toronto dining experience. Vesta doesn't pretend to be anything it's not. Unchanged for years, Vesta provides simple, tasty food in a unique setting. The staff are very friendly and service is fast, they also are great for a quick takeout option that's tastier than fast food chains.
It's honestly such an unique experience. You can definitely tell the place has not changed much in the last couple decades. And that is definitely the charm of this quaint little diner! That being said, I would not really recommend their burger as I have found it generally pretty mediocre and slightly undercooked two times out of the three times I have ordered it. Their fries are great though and the rest of their food seems really nice. Would definitely recommend their vanilla milkshakes! The people that work there are always friendly and definitely the kind of welcoming that makes it feel like you are part of the community.
No frills diner, 50's time machine whose owners clearly dont own a computer. Probably skip it for date night, but there is something simple and honest about it. Friendly service, fish and chips looked just like the picture.
could be cleaner and use better bread for sandwiches, but they are open 24 hours which is great.
This restaurant is the one I like best. I visit plenty of restaurants but to this restaurant I keep coming back again and again. The crew is very attentive and the food they offer is so tasty. I never decline to have a good dinner in this restaurant. I highly recommend this place.
Great place for good late night food. Had a burger with fries and slaw. Finished it all. Good old fashioned taste and feel.
Greatly enjoyed the western omelette (just the right amount of ham and onions in the omelette). Price very reasonable for the amount of food. They accept debit. I enjoyed it so much I won't dock it any stars for the well-seasoned but under-done home fries (I'll ask for them well-done next time).
I was in town for a book launch and stayed nearby at the Rose Garden BB on Bathurst. After checking out all the neighbourhood restaurants Vesta just stood out as a place I had to try - it reminded me of a greasy spoon I grew up near. I had a burger and fries and a bottle of water - $9.80. The food was good. The service was quick. The atmosphere was night hawks at the diner and a little run down - I loved it. I will go again.
Ignore the negative reviews, lots of snowflakes in T.O. these days. Good, old school, counter seat diner. Friendly service. Basic, good food at reasonable prices. Since 1955, you just can't go wrong.
